Anticapitalism for Artists (A4A)
Co-Founder, Creative Director, Lead Graphic Designer, Organizer
New York, NY, USA
Anticapitalism for Artists (A4A) was an inclusive education community dedicated to raising the class consciousness of artists of all kinds, as well as a hub of civic engagement — raising mutual aid funds and organizing political actions.
A4A operated for four years, enrolling over 250 students, hosted over 1.7k events attendees, were invited to be a member organization of The People’s Forum, a major political education and organizing hub, was featured in the Hollywood Reporter among other publications, won multiple grants and a 2023 OBIE Award. Guest artists included Boots Riley (Sorry to Bother You, The Coup), Jabari Brisport (NY State Senate), Hannah Black, and others.
In addition to my work as a co-founder and organizer, I served as Creative Director and Lead Graphic Designer, creating the visual identity and all on-going collateral, including political education materials, social media content, presentations, wearables, motion graphics content, and items for political actions.
